100% Local First Nations Owned & Operated. Delivering veteran concreting excellence from Grafton to Nambucca.

Direct Concrete & Construction is led by James, a proud Bundjalung and Biripi man with deep, multi-generational roots in the Indigenous community.
James brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the concreting and earthmoving industry. He founded Direct Concrete & Construction in 2014 and has built deep ties within the Coffs Coast community across Sawtell, Woolgoolga, and Bellingen.
Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a highly trusted regional contractor, treating every pour—from residential exposed aggregate driveways and AS 2870 house slabs to government civil infrastructure—as a lasting legacy.
Community Connected
James’s heritage dictates how we do business: with transparency, respect for the land, and a direct line of accountability to the clients we serve.
At Direct Concrete & Construction, our work supports something much larger. James, alongside his sister Amber and wife Aimee, runs the Naru Surf Gathering, a registered non-profit organisation on Gumbaynggirr Country.
Named after the Gumbaynggirr word for water, Naru uses connection to the ocean (Gaagal) to promote resilience, physical wellbeing, and suicide prevention/mental health awareness among First Nations youth. Through surf education, water safety programs, and cultural gatherings, Naru is changing lives on the Mid North Coast.
